Nia Archives - Emotional Junglist
The art of maintaining a sonic identity through the flames of innovation is not lost on the beloved Nia Archives.
She offers that classic drum and bass as her jungle floor. Close your eyes and you might just feel like you’re being stalked by the low vocal frequencies of big cats. Look up, and you’ll hear a circus of ethereal chords in every direction. You’ll immediately become jealous of all those alt kids with over-ear headphones, even if there's a charm to blasting her new-age electricity through my 2006 Corolla sound system.
This long-awaited LP will drown you in layers of emotional humidity, scratching that itch with masterful cadence and nostalgic synth tones. However, its not all old-news. Her vocals quickly prove that she is elevating as a musician and composer, offering a refreshing break from the drawn out reverb-maxed vocals we have become accustomed to in the EDM scene.
This album represents a beautiful coming-into-confidence for a young artist and hopefully one who will continue to grow in popularity and musical mastery.
